The Receiving Specialist serves as the critical first line of defense in our warehouse operations, ensuring that every shipment entering our facility is accurate, undamaged, and properly documented. This role exists to maintain the integrity of our inventory from the moment a truck arrives until the materials are securely stored and ready for the next stage of the supply chain.
In this position, you will work collaboratively with the Supervisor, Purchasing, and Finance teams to resolve discrepancies and keep operations running smoothly. The day-to-day rhythm involves a blend of physical activity and precise attention to detail. You will be responsible for unloading deliveries, inspecting goods for damage, and verifying quantities against documentation. Success in this role requires a strong sense of urgency and a commitment to quality, as your work directly impacts the efficiency of the entire warehouse.
This position operates Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. While the core schedule is consistent, the role demands flexibility, particularly during the peak holiday season from October to December, when overtime is often mandatory to meet demand. The ability to stand, walk, and lift throughout the majority of the shift is essential to support these operational needs.
