RoadSafe Traffic Systems is the largest national provider of traffic safety products and services in the United States. Serving customers in all 48 contiguous states, our extensive network includes more than 60 branch locations. We are committed to creating an inclusive environment and value diversity among our employees.
As a Railroad TC Technician, you will join a dynamic team dedicated to ensuring safety on railroad construction sites and state highways. This role is designed for individuals who enjoy the road and thrive in an active, outdoor environment. You will assist railroad companies with their traffic control needs, managing the setup and takedown of lane closures and work zones.
In this position, you will work independently or as part of a traffic control crew, taking direction from the prime contractor to execute project work safely. Your day-to-day involves operating company vehicles, including Truck Mounted Attenuators (TMA) and Management of Traffic (MOT) vehicles, to protect workers and the public. You will be responsible for placing and maintaining safety equipment such as arrow boards, variable message boards, signs, and delineators. Additionally, you will manage traffic flow using stop/slow paddles and radio communication while standing for extended periods.
This is an extensive travel position, typically involving two-week rotations with the railroad. You will travel to various job sites, assemble and deliver safety products, and perform basic mechanical maintenance on equipment. The role reports to the branch manager and crew leader, requiring you to maintain a clean and orderly company vehicle and complete all necessary paperwork in a timely manner.
We offer competitive pay with opportunities for overtime, along with an excellent benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k) plans for eligible employees. For this travel-intensive role, RoadSafe covers hotel stays, and per diem eligibility is available for discussion during the interview process.
Candidates selected for this role must successfully pass a background check and drug test, and meet all federal DOT driver requirements. A driving test and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review are also required to ensure a clean driving record. Final compensation details, including hourly wage, will be discussed during the interview phase.
RoadSafe Traffic Systems is an Equal Opportunity Employer, including Disabled and Veterans. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
