The Quality Engineering Manager serves as a pivotal leader within our defense operations, ensuring the design, development, manufacturing, and sustainment of complex products meet rigorous standards. Reporting to the Director of Quality, this role is dedicated to driving product conformity, reducing risk, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will provide technical leadership and people management to a team of Quality Engineers, acting as a cross-functional influencer to navigate the product lifecycle from development to production.
In this position, you will ensure the effective application of AS9100 requirements, customer standards, and regulatory compliance. The role involves managing resources across various programs based on risk and complexity, while serving as a subject matter expert for internal, customer, and third-party audits. Your work will directly impact the transition from development to production, overseeing qualification, first article inspections, and the management of nonconformances through root cause analysis and corrective actions.
