The Quality Control Manager is a critical role in maintaining quality assurance throughout heavy civil construction projects in New Albany, IN. This position ensures that all construction activities, including earthwork, concrete, utilities, and structural components, strictly comply with project specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
In this role, you will partner with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to uphold high-quality standards. Your day will involve conducting regular site walks to inspect work during and after construction, performing root cause analysis on quality issues, and facilitating pre-installation meetings. You will be responsible for developing project-specific Quality Management Plans, maintaining thorough records of inspections, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to prevent recurring issues. Additionally, you will play a key part in promoting a safe work environment and training site personnel on quality control policies and best practices.
