About the Role

The role is dynamic and travel-intensive, requiring up to 25% travel within the state to attend or host public hearings and meetings. You will be the face of the department during these events, managing the entire lifecycle of public notices and ensuring all statutory requirements are met through website CMS management. Beyond compliance, you will provide executive communications support, crafting speeches, presentations, talking points, and reports while capturing event photography.
As the Public Hearings Officer, you will not only organize meetings but also actively engage with diverse groups, including legislators, government officials, citizen groups, and the media. Your work will directly influence how the department communicates its mission to the community, requiring a blend of public speaking prowess, emotional intelligence, and meticulous attention to detail.
