About Year Up United

Year Up United is an intensive, one-year or less job training program designed to empower young adults with the skills and support needed to launch professional careers. The program combines in-classroom skill development with access to internships and job placement services, all backed by personalized coaching and mentorship.

Participants receive technical and professional training through our industry-leading talent placement firm, YUPRO Placement. Successful candidates are placed in internships at leading organizations in the Greater Boston area, including Harvard University, Wayfair, Salesforce, and Wellington Management.

The Year Up Experience

This program is built to bridge the gap between education and employment. Students gain in-depth knowledge in critical fields such as Banking, Business Operations, IT Support, Investment Operations, Project Management, and Network Security & Support. Beyond technical expertise, the curriculum focuses on professional business and communication skills, interviewing techniques, networking strategies, and resume building.

During the internship phase, students earn an educational stipend of $525 per week. The program is designed for those who are highly motivated to learn and are available Monday through Friday for the duration of the year. Graduates of Year Up United see significant success: 72% are employed or enrolled in postsecondary education within four months of graduation, with employed graduates earning an average starting salary of $53,000 per year.

Eligibility and Application

To apply, candidates must be high school graduates or GED recipients who are eligible to work in the U.S. and have not yet obtained a Bachelor's degree. Applicants may be required to answer additional screening questions as part of the process.
