The Project Manager for Early Phase (EP) serves as the strategic bridge between Parexel and our sponsors, leading teams to develop tailored solutions for complex clinical research programs. Based in a home-based environment with a preference for California, Colorado, or Texas, this role demands a unique blend of clinical research expertise and agile project management skills. You will operate with a high degree of independence, leveraging a deep understanding of business dynamics to make informed decisions that drive operational excellence.
Your mission is to ensure the successful execution of clinical operations and logistical strategies for EP trials. You will be accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, strictly adhering to ICH, GCP, and all applicable regulations. Beyond clinical oversight, you will manage the financial health of your programs, handling revenue recognition, milestone payments, and pass-through invoices while ensuring full compliance with internal SOPs and contract terms.
As the central point of contact for functional teams and sponsors, your day involves proactive communication to keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, and solutions. You will lead regular meetings to ensure objectives are met, from pre-award strategy sessions and bid defenses to study start-up activities and end-of-study close-outs. You will oversee site selection, manage IRB/EC approvals, and monitor critical metrics like recruitment and data cleaning. Additionally, you will identify potential risks, implement contingency plans, and contribute to the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) while mentoring Associate PMs and Project Assistants.
