The Program Manager, Law Enforcement Programs & Services serves as a strategic liaison and operational leader within the Law Enforcement division. Reporting to the Vice President, this role is pivotal in driving the development and implementation of projects, programs, policies, and best practices that align with AAMVA's vision.
In this position, you will act as the primary staff lead for key initiatives, including the Fraud Detection & Remediation (FDR) Training Program. You will manage complex relationships with AAMVA members, federal agencies, and external law enforcement organizations, ensuring seamless collaboration across committees, subcommittees, and task forces. The role requires a blend of diplomatic leadership and technical expertise to facilitate research, prepare analytical reports, and guide the strategic direction of law enforcement programs.
Your work will be dynamic and varied, balancing high-level strategic planning with hands-on execution. You will spend significant time coordinating conference and workshop sessions, often traveling up to 50% of your time to engage directly with stakeholders in the field. A core part of your day involves managing the NMVTIS Law Enforcement Subcommittee, reviewing legislative updates, and refining information shared across AAMVA publications and digital platforms. Whether facilitating meetings, drafting policy recommendations, or fostering a cooperative environment among diverse groups, you will be the connective tissue ensuring our programs deliver tangible value to the law enforcement community.
Candidates selected for an interview will engage in a process designed to assess both technical expertise and cultural fit. This typically includes an initial screening to verify qualifications, followed by in-depth discussions regarding past project management experiences and stakeholder engagement strategies. Finalists may participate in scenario-based interviews to demonstrate problem-solving abilities and alignment with AAMVA's collaborative mission.
