About the Role
This rewarding opportunity is perfect for someone who enjoys team collaboration and shares our mission to support elderly individuals and adults with physical and intellectual disabilities. As a Program Assistant/CNA, you will join our Home Care department and Milwaukee adult day center, playing a vital role in attending to the personal needs, recreational needs, support, and health status of our members.
In this part-time position (32 hours per week), you will balance care in the home environment with dynamic programming at our day center. A significant focus of the role is recreation; you will lead and supervise group and individual activities, projects, and special events under the direction of Recreation Specialists. You will also deliver written restorative programs, including leading therapeutic exercise groups, and assist in the daily cleanup of recreation areas.
When providing home care, you will travel occasionally or regularly to members' homes or other residential facilities. This requires the use of a personal vehicle, a valid driver's license, and proof of required insurance coverage. You will stay informed of member care plans, update the team on physical, emotional, or behavioral changes, and recommend necessary adjustments to ensure high-quality, personalized support.
Schedule and Location
This is a part-time role based at our Milwaukee adult day center (3220 W. Vliet St, Milwaukee, WI 53208). The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM. One day per week requires a 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM shift. Hours may be flexible based on need, and there are no weekend or holiday requirements.
