This position is part of the J-U-B Transportation Services Group (TSG), a team of over 80 full-time staff focused on surface transportation projects across Idaho, Utah, Colorado, Washington, Nevada, Oregon, and Wyoming. The group currently manages over 200 active projects, ranging from local roadways and highways to intersections, interchanges, roundabouts, and active transportation initiatives.
As a Professional Engineer (P.E.), you will work within a multidisciplinary design team to plan, design, construct, and permit a wide variety of transportation projects for local agencies and State DOTs. You will collaborate with traffic, structural, and other specialty engineers to deliver comprehensive reports, studies, and drawings. Your day-to-day will involve utilizing CAD tools to produce alignments and models, analyzing engineering data to create final documents, and supporting business development through client relationship building and proposal preparation.
You will also serve as a mentor to support staff, including drafters and designers, while managing client communications and ensuring quality deliverables. The role includes periodic fieldwork, such as construction observation and project reconnaissance, and requires active participation in client and public meetings to discuss project details.
