Nucor is North America's largest recycler and most diversified steel and steel products company. Since 1969, we have led the industry in developing innovative technologies for recycling scrap into high-quality steels that are all around us, from bridges and buildings to cars and appliances.
This position is vital to our production workflow, focusing on the precise fabrication and preparation of reinforcing steel bars. You will be responsible for bending, cutting, bundling, and loading steel according to specific customer orders. The role requires operating a variety of specialized equipment, including shearing machines, bending machines, overhead cranes, Fabmatic machines, and power saws. Additionally, you will apply epoxy touch-ups and ensure all orders are assembled and loaded onto trailers for shipping. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; candidates must demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
We pride ourselves on offering the best benefits in the business. Team members enjoy paid weekly wages with bonus and profit-sharing opportunities, alongside clearly defined career pathways with unlimited growth potential. Our comprehensive benefits package includes paid training, company-provided uniforms and PPE, three weeks of paid vacation after one year, and ten paid holidays plus a personal day. We also support our families with parental leave, tuition reimbursement, and a scholarship program where every child of a Nucor teammate is eligible for $4,000 per year. Additional perks include low-cost medical, dental, and vision coverage after 30 days, company-paid life and disability insurance, a company-matching 401(k) plan, and an employee stock purchase plan with a 10% match.
Nucor is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
