As a Forge Process Manufacturing Engineer, you will support the organization in the critical area of New Part Introduction. This role is responsible for all aspects of part maturation, guiding disk hardware from raw material to end use. You will partner with the team to develop disk hardware through Forge and Heat Treat processes, utilizing finite element analysis to define shapes and create engineering drawings for raw materials and tooling.
Your day will involve analyzing survey data to ensure parts meet required mechanical properties and following parts through gated development phases from product definition to delivery. You will leverage manufacturing innovations to improve cost, delivery, and quality while leading the CORE (Customer Oriented Results and Excellence) journey to continuously improve quality and exceed customer expectations. Additionally, you will own relentless Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) for non-conformances and implement statistical methods to ensure process control.
