This role is designed for self-motivated individuals who thrive working with multi-disciplined teams committed to innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology. As a Process Engineer II, you will serve as the in-factory materials and process specialist, working to improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, improve sustainability and safety, and maximize profitability.
You will be the bridge between technical data and factory execution. Your day-to-day involves verifying that Technical Data Package (TDP) shelf-life materials are correctly called out in Manufacturing Data Packages (MDPs) and writing material processing procedures. You will collaborate on integrating process equipment within the factory and document its functionality. This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities, requiring you to spend significant time in and around factory areas.
You will actively participate in daily production meetings, quickly addressing production issues related to materials and processes to ensure root causes are understood and solutions are robust. You will also assist with on-the-job training, collaborate with Factory personnel, and support the Materials & Process Engineering (M&PE) team in resolving problem buys and obsolete materials.
This is an onsite position based at Raytheon's Tucson, AZ facility (801 ~ 1151 E Hermans Rd, BLDG 801). The role operates on the 2nd Shift, typically from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM.
