About the Role

As a Process Engineer II at our Tucson, AZ facility, you will serve as the in-factory materials and process specialist. Your mission is to improve processes to maintain efficiency, reduce costs, enhance sustainability and safety, and maximize profitability.

In this onsite capacity, you will verify that Technical Data Package (TDP) shelf-life materials are correctly called out in Manufacturing Data Packages (MDP) and author material processing procedures. You will collaborate on integrating process equipment within the factory and document its functionality. Your day-to-day involves quickly addressing production issues related to materials and processes, ensuring root causes are understood and solutions are robust and cost-effective. You will actively participate in daily production meetings, assist with on-the-job training, and collaborate closely with factory personnel and the Materials Management Team to address potential obsolescence or supply chain interruptions.

This position involves direct support of manufacturing activities, requiring you to spend significant time in and around factory areas. You will utilize Lean manufacturing techniques to reduce variability and eliminate constraints, while helping to drive the use of common materials based on allowable requirements. The role typically operates on a 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 4:00 PM).

Hiring Process and Application

This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) prior to your start date; U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only citizens are eligible for this clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
