PRN Cardiovascular Sonographer II-Echo Weekend

About the Role

Join the Cardiovascular Services team at Gulf Coast Medical Center as a Level II Echocardiography Sonographer. In this PRN weekend position, you will perform high-quality echocardiographic studies, integrating all necessary imaging modalities to gather critical diagnostic patient data. This role is designed for a specialized professional who practices independently in accordance with departmental and IAC protocols.

You will be responsible for a wide range of echo exams, including the use of imaging enhancement agents, saline bubble studies, portable and stress echocardiograms, strain imaging, and assisting with transesophageal echocardiographic procedures. Beyond technical execution, you will ensure complete and accurate documentation of patient data and exam information using the current information management system while adhering to appropriate billing procedures.

As a key member of the team, you will also assist in the orientation and training of trainees and students assigned to the Echocardiography Laboratory. Success in this role requires strong critical thinking skills, effective communication, and a patient-oriented approach. You must be well-organized, capable of functioning independently, and flexible in learning and adapting to all available equipment.
