The Walmart/VIZIO Team is responsible for enabling and operating secure, scalable, and cost-aware cloud platforms that support critical business systems. We work across Engineering, Security, Finance, and Platform teams to modernize infrastructure, migrate workloads, enforce governance, and reduce operational risk. Our mandate is not just to build infrastructure—but to build it correctly, with consistency, automation, and long-term sustainability in mind.
This team operates at the intersection of cloud migration leadership, infrastructure architecture, automation, security remediation, and FinOps enablement. We are looking for a senior technical authority who sets standards, leads by example, and brings rigor, clarity, and best practices to complex cloud environments.
As a Principal Cloud Infrastructure & Platform Engineer, you will lead large-scale multi-cloud migration and modernization efforts across AWS, GCP, and Azure. This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you will shape infrastructure, automation, security, and FinOps practices in equal measure.
You will design target-state architectures and migration patterns that balance scalability, resilience, cost, and operational simplicity. Your work will define standards, reduce risk, enable teams, and ensure our platforms are scalable, secure, cost-aware, and sustainable for years to come. If you thrive in complex environments and care deeply about engineering excellence, this role offers both influence and impact.
At Walmart, we are committed to maintaining a drug-free workplace and have a no-tolerance policy regarding the use of illegal drugs and alcohol on the job. This policy applies to all employees and aims to create a safe and productive work environment.
We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
