Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Structural Analyst or Principal Structural Analyst to support the Sentinel program. This position can be located in Huntsville, AL, or Roy, UT.
As part of the Sentinel AVE Post-Boost, Payloads, and Protections team, your technical expertise and analytical prowess will play a vital role in structural analysis. This position invites a forward-thinking professional who is eager to tackle complex challenges and deliver innovative solutions that advance the future of structural analysis for the Sentinel Program. You will collaborate effectively with adjacent disciplines in a highly integrated team environment.
This position features a standard 9/80 work schedule, allowing employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. A competitive relocation assistance package may be available for qualified candidates. Please note that a DoD Secret security clearance is required to start, and travel is expected at approximately 10% of the time.

Familiarity with Finite Element Analysis software (ABAQUS, FEMAP, or ANSYS). Experience with Bolted Joint Analysis using NASA STD 5020. Experience with structural analysis of spacecraft, aircraft, or missiles. Exposure to structural test applications. Experience with seismic analysis (ASCE 7). Exposure to missiles program requirements and propulsion. Ability to navigate through NX 3D models and CPLM. TeamCenter CPLM experience.
Skills: Secret Clearance, Structural Analysis, Finite Element Analysis, Nastran, Bolted Joint Analyses, Nasa STD 5020, Abaqus, Femap, Ansys, Seismic Analysis.
Education: Bachelor's in Science required for Structural Analyst or Principal Structural Analyst roles; Master's degree or equivalent experience required for Principal Structural Analyst; PhD or equivalent experience required for Principal Structural Analyst.
