About the Team
The Information Technology group delivers secure, reliable technology solutions that enable DTCC to be the trusted infrastructure of the global capital markets. This specific team serves as a dedicated technology resource for advancing DTCC's business opportunities and providing industry thought leadership. Our goal is to partner internally with IT, business, and regulatory divisions, and externally with clients, regulators, and fintech vendors, to build new platforms and business models that support the financial markets.
About the Role
As an Associate Director of Snowflake Platform Engineering, you will lead the design, scalability, and reliability of DTCC's enterprise data platform. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you will drive the evolution of Snowflake capabilities across mission-critical applications. You will partner with global engineering teams to modernize the platform, optimize performance, and champion best practices in cloud data engineering. Your work will enable innovation, strengthen platform resiliency, and deliver data solutions at enterprise scale.

Requirements
- verifiedBachelor's degree preferred or equivalent practical experience
- verified8+ years of relevant experience in data platform, cloud, or database engineering
- verifiedDeep expertise in Snowflake platform engineering and administration
- verifiedProficiency in Python and/or Bash/SQL scripting
- verifiedExperience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, Bitbucket)
- verifiedFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible)
- verifiedSnowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or advanced certifications) preferred
Nice to Have
Snowflake certifications (SnowPro Core or advanced certifications). Experience integrating Snowflake with IAM/security frameworks (e.g., Entra ID, HashiCorp Vault). Exposure to observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Splunk, Grafana, Dynatrace). Knowledge of FinOps and cost optimization strategies within Snowflake. Experience with Snowflake advanced capabilities (Snowpipe, Snowpark, streaming, Cortex AI). Familiarity with BI/analytics tools (Power BI, Looker, QuickSight). Experience with ITSM tools (e.g., ServiceNow) and enterprise support models.
