You will join the Quantitative Research & Investments Technology (QRIT) team within Fidelity Asset Management Technology. Our mission is to empower quant research and investment teams by designing, building, and maintaining a comprehensive portfolio optimization and back-testing ecosystem. We operate at scale, requiring systems that are not only robust but also capable of handling complex financial models with high performance and low latency.
As a Principal Quant Developer, you will serve as a critical bridge between quantitative research and software engineering. This role is designed for a hands-on developer who thrives in a collaborative environment, working directly with a team of software engineers and quantitative developers to enhance our core infrastructure. You will be responsible for architecting highly scalable systems and translating complex financial requirements into efficient, production-ready code.
Your day-to-day involves deep collaboration with stakeholders across the organization to capture requirements, formulate technical plans, and influence strategic decisions. You will leverage industry-scale optimization libraries and modern cloud environments to solve challenging problems in portfolio construction and optimization, ensuring our tools support the evolving needs of our investment strategies.
Candidates selected for this role will engage in a structured interview process designed to assess both technical depth and cultural fit. While specific steps may vary, the process typically includes an initial screening, technical deep-dives, and discussions focused on system design and team collaboration.
