Incyte is a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the discovery, development, and commercialization of novel medicines to address serious unmet medical needs in oncology and inflammation and autoimmunity. We are committed to the rigorous pursuit of research and development excellence to improve patient lives, make a difference in healthcare, and build sustainable value. Our mission is to discover and develop first-in-class and best-in-class medicines, advancing a diverse portfolio of large and small molecules.
As a Principal Investigator in Process Development, you will lead chemical process research and development efforts. This role is pivotal in bridging the gap between discovery and commercial manufacturing. You will manage High-Throughput Experimentation (HTE) center equipment, ensuring reliable daily operations and coordinating with vendors to minimize downtime. Your work will directly accelerate discovery programs by executing HTE experiments to identify optimal conditions and generating curated datasets to support predictive AI/ML models.
You will collaborate closely with Drug Discovery, medicinal chemistry, and internal/external Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions to ensure high-quality Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (APIs) are manufactured and delivered on time. The role involves designing scalable synthetic routes, developing cost-effective chemical processes for late-stage candidates, and providing technical support to Contract Research Organizations (CROs) and Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) for commercial manufacturing processes. Additionally, you will author technology transfer documents, campaign summaries, and project progress reports, while providing input on new syntheses and optimized chemical processes.
Incyte is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. We believe that developing high-quality and cost-effective processes is essential to ensuring more medicines reach a diverse range of patients.
