We are seeking a talented and driven Principal Data Science Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop intelligent, data-driven solutions to improve patient outcomes and clinical workflows. You will contribute to the lifecycle of embedded and digital clinical software applications that monitor, control, and preserve donated hearts, lungs, livers, and other organs on the Organ Care System (OCS).
You will work collaboratively with clinical leads, software engineers, and product teams to translate clinical needs into technical specifications. Your work will involve designing, training, and validating machine learning and traditional algorithms for clinical decision support and automation, ensuring all data handling adheres to strict regulatory standards including HIPAA and GDPR. You will also guide clinical algorithmic strategy, perform reviews, and set best practices for development and validation, while explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
As part of our long-term growth plans, TransMedics is excited to announce our plan to relocate our headquarters to Somerville, MA by 2028.
