The San José State University (SJSU) Student Wellness Center is dedicated to providing a preventive medicine–focused environment for a diverse student population. As part of the university's commitment to student health, the center integrates primary care with on-site counseling, physical therapy, subspecialties, and laboratory services to support the holistic well-being of the campus community.

About the Role

This position offers a unique opportunity to serve as a Board Certified Primary Care Physician (Internal Medicine or Family Medicine) within a true outpatient setting. The role is designed for physicians who value a predictable weekday clinic schedule and the ability to connect deeply with students. You will provide 100% outpatient care with low daily patient volumes, ensuring ample time for meaningful patient interactions without the demands of nights, weekends, or inpatient responsibilities.

Your day-to-day will involve performing office procedures such as wound care, suturing, incision and drainage, and cryotherapy. You will also provide comprehensive sexual and reproductive health education, counseling, and care, including medication abortion services. Additionally, you will conduct various student-related physical examinations, including sports, academic, and employment physicals.
