The Electrical Engineering (EE) Section of the Materials and Process Engineering Department is seeking a Pr. Electronic Materials Failure Analyst to support its mission of performing electronic materials failure analysis and component evaluation. This role is critical for ensuring the reliability of defense systems by analyzing a wide range of devices, from simple passive components to complex custom microcircuits, cables, connectors, and magnetics.
As a member of this team, you will drive the analysis process from initial evaluation through to final reporting. You will utilize advanced laboratory equipment to determine the root cause of failures, ensuring that every conclusion is substantiated by rigorous data. This position is based onsite in Tucson, AZ, where you will work directly with the team to maintain the highest standards of engineering excellence.
Candidates must possess an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (Secret level) or the ability to obtain an interim clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is a mandatory requirement for this position.

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Material Science. Knowledge of Government Component Documents (MIL-STD, MIL-PRF, MIL-HDBK specifications, QPLs, QMLs, specifically MIL-STDs 750/883, MIL-PRF 38534, 19500, 1580). Knowledge of RF device and interconnect testing. Data collection and presentation skills for report writing and presentations. Ability to work on parallel analyses. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite. Familiarity with component data sheets and drawings. Experience with electrical test equipment (DMM, Curve Tracer, Parametric Analyzers). Technical working knowledge of electronic component parts and their application. Knowledge of reading electrical schematics and circuit analysis. Advanced degree in aforementioned disciplines. ABET accreditation.
