The Electrical Engineering (EE) Section of the Materials and Process Engineering Department is seeking a Pr. Electronic Materials Failure Analyst to support the section's mission of performing electronic materials failure analysis and component evaluation. This onsite position is located in Tucson, AZ.
In this role, you will analyze a wide range of devices submitted for evaluation, from simple passive devices to complex, custom microcircuits, as well as cables, connectors, magnetics, and electro-magnetics. You will be responsible for determining the root cause of failures using available laboratory equipment, including digital photo-documentation, various electrical component test equipment, Sono-scan, SEM-EDS, and destructive techniques. Your work will involve guiding the analysis from initial evaluation and photo-documentation through electrical and destructive testing, culminating in a final report that substantiates failure conclusions.
Please consider the role type definition as you apply: Onsite roles require employees to work primarily onsite, as production and maintenance employees are essential to the development of our products.
