As a Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future by helping students master subject matter and acquire essential skills. Your mission is to contribute to the development of students into mature, able, and responsible individuals. You will work directly under the Building Principal to foster an environment where learning thrives.
Your day involves meeting assigned classes at designated times and locations, ensuring a structured and productive learning atmosphere. You will design and implement a program of study tailored to meet the unique needs, interests, and abilities of your students. By employing a variety of instructional techniques and media, you will guide the learning process toward achieving curriculum goals while establishing clear objectives for all lessons and projects.
Beyond the classroom, you will assess student accomplishments regularly, diagnose learning disabilities, and maintain accurate records in compliance with legal and district policies. You will also collaborate with teacher aides and volunteers, supervise their assignments, and serve on staff committees to support the school community. Your commitment to professional competence will drive you to continuously improve your instructional methods.
Candidates must possess a valid Tennessee Teaching License. The employment term is set for 200 days, with salary and work year details to be established by the Board. Performance evaluations will be conducted in accordance with the Board's policy on evaluation.
