We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate to join our NIH-funded laboratory at the Center for Craniofacial Molecular Biology, University of Southern California. This Postdoctoral Scholar - Research Associate will serve as a key personnel on Dr. Jianfu Chen's research projects. The candidate will participate in all laboratory activities to enhance and develop research competencies, taking part in planning, designing, and conducting highly technical and complex research projects under the direction of Dr. Chen. The scholar will analyze research data, provide interpretations, contribute to the development of research documentation for publication, and prepare technical reports, papers, and records.
This is a temporary, fixed-term position for one year, renewable on the recommendation of the faculty mentor and at the discretion of the dean. It may be renewed up to a maximum of five years.
Applicants must provide a copy of the doctoral diploma or other certification indicating satisfactory completion of the terminal degree. If the doctoral candidate has not yet obtained a degree, they should provide evidence that a thesis has been approved, along with a documented indication of the expected date of formal graduation. It is the responsibility of the faculty mentor to verify this documentation, which must be filed with the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs.
