Concordance's reentry program is designed to dramatically reduce recidivism by helping individuals with justice involvement lead meaningful, abundant, and joyful lives. Our holistic, evidence-based model offers a wide range of services including therapy, case management, yoga, behavioral health and substance use recovery groups, spiritual care, life skills, medical care, education, and job readiness. Our Care Team formally supports each participant for a full year, ensuring stability and long-term success. Now operating in Missouri, South Carolina, and Virginia, Concordance leads the nation in compassionate, innovative reentry care.
About the Role
The Post-Release Career Coach plays a critical role in the success of our participants. This position exists to facilitate education, prepare individuals for long-term career success, and provide dedicated support in securing employment. You will serve as a bridge between classroom learning and the workforce, guiding participants through the complex transition from incarceration to meaningful employment. As a Career Coach, you will be an integral part of a dynamic team dedicated to shaping the future of reentry services nationwide.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleTeach standard curriculum and develop enrichment activities for participants
- check_circleAssess participant knowledge and job readiness through formal and informal assessments
- check_circleConduct impactful one-on-one and group sessions to support participant success
- check_circleGuide participants on career planning and identify skills, interests, and strengths
- check_circleDocument participant interactions, progress, and challenges in electronic record systems
- check_circleSupport participants in transitioning from classroom learning to employment
- check_circleEngage with participant supervisors to review progress and address employment challenges
- check_circleCollaborate with care teams to ensure coordination of services and holistic care
Requirements
- verified3-5 years of experience in adult instruction, counseling, coaching, or supporting formerly incarcerated populations
- verifiedCPR / Adult First Aid certification preferred
- verifiedCertified Professional Career Coach certification preferred
- verifiedOffenders Workforce Development Specialist certification preferred
Nice to Have
