As a Secret Service Police officer, you will carry out critical assignments in protection within the Washington, D.C. area. Your duties include providing security for the White House Complex, the Vice President's Residence, the Main Treasury Building and Annex, and foreign diplomatic missions and embassies. You will also travel to support Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions, enforcing mandated protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.
This position must be performed in Washington, D.C., so relocation to the area is required. Applicants may be eligible for a $75,000 recruitment incentive in accordance with regulatory requirements; click apply to view full details and eligibility.
Candidates must meet strict physical and legal standards, including U.S. citizenship, a valid driver's license, and firearm proficiency. Selected applicants will complete 12 weeks of intensive training at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA or Artesia, NM, followed by 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center in Laurel, MD.
