The Material Handler is a vital link in the daily operations of our reel manufacturing facility, specifically within the plastics production area. This position exists to ensure a seamless flow of materials, guaranteeing that machines are supplied with the correct raw materials and that finished goods are transported efficiently. By maintaining accurate inventory and a safe work environment, the Material Handler directly supports production continuity and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will spend approximately 75% of your shift operating a forklift to move raw materials, finished plastic components, and packaging supplies. The remaining 25% involves performing essential material-handling tasks on foot, including inspections, labeling, and housekeeping. You will work closely with supervisors, machine operators, and other departments to support the production flow, ensuring that materials are properly labeled, stored, and handled according to strict safety and quality standards.
