We are seeking a Piping Engineer to join our team supporting the DOE's Y-12 National Security Complex. This full-time position is based in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, with hybrid flexibility. You will provide full-time piping design engineering support to CNS Mission Engineering for facility and production area activities in Cat 2 and Cat 3 facilities.
In this role, you will partner with other engineering disciplines and plant organizations to produce timely design output for minor facility modifications. Your day-to-day involves developing drawings, engineering instructions, data sheets, equipment specifications, equivalency evaluations, and calculations. You will interface effectively with clients, production and support organizations, management, and hourly wage employees. The role requires a willingness to perform field walk-downs and work within a production environment, ensuring designs align with the strict Conduct of Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance protocols required in a nuclear regulated setting.
