As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a critical asset in aviation-based law enforcement. This role is designed for experienced pilots seeking a rewarding career that combines technical flying expertise with the mission of securing our borders. You will perform air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic and tactical intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. Successful candidates will undergo a three-part assessment. Upon completion, a duty location will be offered based on operational and mission requirements. You must be willing to work at any location within the selected region, including the Southeast, Southwest, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) UAS locations.
AMO is actively recruiting seasoned pilots and those with military training to fill critical agency needs. We offer a competitive compensation package that includes Special Salary Rates, Law Enforcement Availability Pay (LEAP), and potential recruitment and retention incentives. New hires may be eligible for a one-time recruitment incentive of $10,000 upon completing the Federal Law Enforcement Training Academy (FLETC), subject to a one-year service agreement.
