About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with an elite team where your skills in piloting and tactical decision-making directly support national security. You will conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled goods via land, air, and sea, while also supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
This position is designed for seasoned pilots and those with military training who are seeking a dynamic environment. You will operate in diverse environments, making rapid, judicious decisions during flight to ensure the safety of the nation. Duty Locations
Duty locations are assigned based on operational requirements, mission needs, and critical agency hiring needs. Successful candidates must be willing to work at any duty location within the region they select. Potential locations include:
- Southeast Region: Homestead, FL and CAMB (Aguadilla, PR).
- Southwest Region: Tucson and Yuma, AZ; San Diego, CA; El Paso, Laredo, and McAllen, TX.
- NASOC UAS Locations: Sierra Vista, AZ; San Angelo, TX.
A specific duty location will be offered after successfully completing a three-part assessment. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) locations.
