As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a key member of this security-based team, performing aviation-based law enforcement operations. Your mission involves the detection, prevention, interdiction, and apprehension of terrorists, weapons, and contraband attempting to illegally enter or attack the United States. Day-to-day, you will conduct air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities targeting smuggled contraband moving via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. You will monitor behavior patterns of suspect persons and assets, collect and analyze strategic intelligence, and support search and rescue and humanitarian efforts. The role demands rapid decision-making and the ability to coordinate aircraft and ground assets in diverse environments.
