About the Role
As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will join a rewarding career in aviation-based law enforcement. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a skilled team of pilots and professionals who are at the forefront of national security. You will perform critical duties including air patrol, surveillance, and pursuit activities to intercept smuggled contraband via land vehicles, aircraft, or vessels. Your day-to-day work involves monitoring suspect behavior, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.

To qualify for the Pilot - CBP Air Interdiction Agent at U.S. Customs and Border Protection position, applicants should have: U.S. Citizen; Primary U.S. residency for 3 of last 5 years; Age 40 or younger (or eligible for waiver); FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certification with specific ratings; 1500 total flight hours (waiver to 1000 possible); and 250 Pilot-in-Command hours.
