Air and Marine Operations (AMO), a component of U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), is an elite team of highly trained professionals dedicated to protecting America. As an Air Interdiction Agent (AIA), you will serve as a skilled pilot and law enforcement officer, performing aviation-based operations to detect, prevent, and apprehend threats. This role offers an exciting and rewarding career where you will partner with a mission-driven team to conduct air patrols, surveillance, and pursuit activities against smuggled goods via land, air, or sea. You will also play a critical role in monitoring suspect activities, analyzing strategic intelligence, and supporting search and rescue and humanitarian efforts.
This position is designed for seasoned pilots and those with military training who are seeking job stability, exceptional federal benefits, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on national security. The role involves working at various duty locations across the Southeast, Southwest, and Caribbean regions, as well as National Air Security Operation Centers (NASOC) for Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). You must be willing to work at any location within the region you select based on operational and mission requirements.

Candidates who apply with fewer than 1,500 flight hours may need to obtain the required hours at their own expense before attending the assessment. Successful candidates will complete a three-part assessment, after which a duty location will be offered. The final offer letter may include any geographic location within the Southwest Border Region, Southeast Border Region, Caribbean Air and Marine Branch (CAMB), or NASOC UAS locations.
