About the Role
As a Physician - Psychiatrist, you will serve as an Attending Psychiatrist for the SFVA Acute Recovery Center Inpatient Unit, providing comprehensive psychiatric care to veterans requiring inpatient hospitalization. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to treat veterans with complex diagnoses, including Schizophrenia, psychotic disorders, and treatment-resistant mood disorders such as Major Depression, Bipolar Disorder, PTSD, and Anxiety Disorders.
In addition to clinical care, you will provide interventional psychiatry services, including ketamine infusions, electromagnetic stimulation, and transcranial magnetic stimulation. You will also play a vital educational role by supervising and mentoring UCSF trainees and serving as VA faculty backup for on-call residents at the SFVA.
