The Department of Ophthalmology and Vision Science at the University of Arizona-Tucson and Banner University Medicine-Tucson is actively seeking a Cornea Surgeon to join our growing faculty team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic academic environment that balances high-level clinical care with a strong commitment to education. The department supports a residency program with four residents per year, fostering an enthusiastic culture of teaching and mentorship.
As a faculty member, you will hold an academic appointment with the University of Arizona-Tucson College of Medicine at a rank consistent with your credentials. Your primary focus will be the surgical and non-surgical management of corneal and external diseases, alongside providing comprehensive eye care. Clinical services are delivered across the Banner University Medicine Ophthalmology Clinic in Tucson and two additional medical center campuses located within 15 minutes of the main clinic.
While clinical excellence is paramount, the ideal candidate will also possess a passion for clinical or translational research. This position is available as both a full-time role and per diem opportunities, offering flexibility to suit your professional goals. A generous tuition discount for the applicant and immediate family members is included as part of the academic appointment.
