Ascension Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital is one of the largest in the state, featuring 683 licensed acute and rehab care beds across nearly 2 million square feet. Following a $300 million expansion completed in 2023, the campus now includes a new ICU, surgical tower, and the Women's Hospital Pavilion. This dedicated entrance provides immediate access to women's care services, including the OB-GYN Emergency Department and Birthing Center.
The hospital is a regional leader in obstetrics, delivering more than 7,000 babies per year—more than any other hospital in the region. One out of every 12 babies born in the state is delivered here, supported by a Level 3 NICU. The facility is recognized as a clinically and technologically advanced healthcare destination designed to serve patients' unique, changing needs.
We are seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible OB/GYN to join our high-volume Hospitalist program. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide comprehensive care to a diverse patient population without the burden of clinic responsibilities or call. You will manage labor and delivery, obstetric emergencies, and the GYN Emergency Department, working alongside community OBs, midwives, residents, NPs, and CNMs.
The position features a supportive, team-based environment with experienced nursing and anesthesia support. You will supervise residents and maintain excellent working relationships with faculty, community physicians, and emergency room providers. The schedule offers predictable, advanced planning with 12-hour shifts and NO CALL—ever. This is a hospitalist-only role utilizing the Cerner EMR system.
