About the Position
HealthNet is seeking a Doctor of Medicine specializing in Psychiatry to join our team in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time, employed role designed for providers dedicated to delivering comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral conditions. The position covers the full spectrum of patient needs, from initial intake and treatment to post-inpatient follow-up.
The Role
In this capacity, you will diagnose conditions using patient history, examinations, and indicated testing, while implementing both pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment plans. The role emphasizes integrated behavioral health, requiring you to collaborate across disciplines and consult with primary care, OB/GYN, and dental providers to ensure holistic patient care. You will also apply health literacy methods to enhance patient understanding and engagement.
Beyond direct patient care, this position involves active participation in meetings, trainings, and quality initiatives to meet productivity targets. A key component of the role is providing clinical supervision, which includes reviewing medication, charts, and therapy plans for psychiatric NPs and therapists.
