The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the University of Arizona and Banner University Medical Group is a dynamic academic team dedicated to advancing liver care. The division is actively recruiting to expand its faculty and enhance its growing transplant program.

About the Role

This position offers an excellent opportunity to advance your career in academic medicine at the assistant or associate level. As a Hepatologist, you will provide comprehensive transplant care to patients with end-stage liver disease, managing all phases of pre- and post-transplant care. You will also maintain a busy Advanced Liver Disease practice.

You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team, participating directly in selection committees, quality assurance initiatives, education, and research. A core component of this role involves the education and training of Internal Medicine/GI residents, fellows, and medical students. Responsibilities include teaching and mentorship, preparing and presenting at Departmental and Divisional meetings, and engaging in GI/Hepatology clinical research, with opportunities to present at national meetings and pursue clinical research training through a Masters in Clinical Research pathway.
