We are seeking Board Eligible or Certified Emergency Medicine Physicians to join our team at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic academic setting with current residents, making it ideal for those passionate about teaching and clinical excellence.
Howard University Hospital is a Level I Trauma Center, STEMI Receiving Center, and Primary Stroke Center. As the nation's only teaching hospital located on the campus of a historically Black university, it features a 150-bed facility with a 19-bed Emergency Department, including a dedicated Pediatric Care Area. The department sees an annual volume of approximately 50,000 patients with a 14% admit rate. Physicians affiliated with this hospital have been recognized by Washingtonian and Black Enterprise magazines as leaders in a vast range of specialties.
