As the Chief of Gynecology, you will lead the comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic management of gynecologic services across inpatient, operating room, and outpatient settings. This role is designed to ensure appropriate access to care, monitor wait times, and oversee the full spectrum of patient needs—from managing abnormal bleeding and infertility to performing complex surgeries like hysterectomies and laparoscopies.
Beyond direct patient care, you will supervise medical students, residents, and fellows, while providing consultation services to general medicine physicians, surgeons, and emergency staff. You will also drive quality improvement by managing clinical statistics, conducting VASQIP studies, and developing policies to enhance the safety and efficiency of the Gynecology Section. Your leadership will directly support the VAPAHCS goals through outreach efforts and educational conferences.
