About the Role
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in IP/OP Specialty Care delivers specialized medical services across both inpatient and outpatient environments. Working in close collaboration with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, this role is designed to address the unique clinical needs of patients through comprehensive assessment, diagnostic interpretation, and the development of tailored treatment plans.
This position spans a wide array of medical disciplines, including Cardiology, Gastroenterology, General Surgery, Oncology, Infectious Disease, Plastic Surgery, Pulmonary, Orthopedics, Pediatric Sub-Specialty, Adolescent Medicine, Urology, Ear, Nose & Throat, Physical Medicine and Rehab, and Obstetrics & Gynecology. Note that Obstetrics & Gynecology coverage applies to ARMC and MC locations excluding Labor & Delivery.
In the day-to-day, the APP conducts physical assessments, reviews medical histories, and interprets diagnostic results to drive effective patient care. The role emphasizes proactive health through preventive screenings tailored to the patient's age and history. A significant portion of the position involves educating patients and their families regarding medical conditions, treatment protocols, and necessary follow-up care. Additionally, the APP performs specialty medical procedures in alignment with departmental guidelines and actively seeks opportunities to improve clinical systems and patient outcomes through problem-solving and evaluation.
