About the Role
UConn Health/Waterbury is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible (BC/BE) inpatient psychiatrist to provide essential coverage at our behavioral health center. This part-time position (20 hours weekly) offers flexibility for the right candidate. You will collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary behavioral health team, including nurse practitioners, nurses, and mental health clinicians, to deliver comprehensive care.
Behavioral Health of Waterbury Hospital is dedicated to meeting the behavioral health needs of our community. As one of the largest and busiest behavioral health centers in Connecticut, we provide a full continuum of services for children and adults across inpatient and ambulatory settings. Our state-of-the-art inpatient facility combines top-quality care in a spacious and discrete setting, while our outpatient services include crisis assessment, geropsychiatry, addiction treatment, partial hospitalization, and general counseling.
About the Team and Organization
Waterbury Hospital is a 357-bed acute care facility with a Level II Trauma Center designation, providing advanced medical care to over 350,000 residents in the greater Waterbury region. The hospital employs over 2,000 staff members and works with a medical staff of nearly 700 providers. Our affiliate partners include The Heart Center of Greater Waterbury, Cardiology Associates of Greater Waterbury, The Harold Leever Cancer Center, and the Access Rehabilitation Network.
