Key Responsibilities
- check_circleDeliver physical therapy interventions as directed by a licensed Physical Therapist
- check_circleTreat patients to relieve pain, maintain function, and support safe performance
- check_circleLead patients through therapeutic exercises, gait training, and transfer training
- check_circleUtilize physical agents such as heat, cold, ultrasound, and massage in alignment with guidelines
- check_circleObserve and report patient responses, progress, or changes in condition to the Physical Therapist
- check_circleInstruct patients in the safe use and care of mobility and supportive devices
- check_circleDocument clinical notes and updates in a timely and accurate manner
- check_circleParticipate in interdisciplinary care discussions to support coordinated service delivery
- check_circleAttend home care team meetings, in-service programs, and interdisciplinary group meetings
- check_circleParticipate in quality assessment and performance improvement activities
Requirements
- verifiedGraduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program with an associate degree
- verifiedCurrent PTA certification or licensure as required by state law
- verifiedCurrent CPR certification
