As a Physical Therapist (PRN) at Baptist Medical Center South, you will play a vital role in patient recovery and rehabilitation. In this position, you will evaluate patients and prescribe treatment programs, ensuring all plans receive Physician approval. You will have the autonomy to adjust treatment programs within established constraints and will confer with Physicians as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
Your day will involve documenting treatment progress and making data-driven suggestions for further care. Beyond direct patient care, this role may include supervising and training employees, organizing work assignments, and prioritizing schedules. You will serve as a professional ambassador for Baptist Health, maintaining a customer-centric composure and delivering positive experiences to guests, visitors, and patients, even in challenging situations.
This role is primarily performed inside a protected environment with minimal noise levels, though temperature changes may occur. The position requires significant mobility (80% of the workday), including frequent reaching, use of hands, and repetitive actions. You will occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, and crouch. Physical demands include lifting or carrying up to 15 pounds and pushing or pulling up to 150 pounds.
The role involves continuous visual acuity at close and distant ranges, clear verbal communication, and hearing sensitivity for conversations via phone or in person. You will have substantial exposure to computer work in a Windows-based environment. While protected from weather, you may face occasional exposure to infectious diseases, hazardous chemicals, radiation, and the risk of electrical shock during job-related tasks.
