RWJBarnabas Health is the premier healthcare destination in New Jersey, dedicated to providing patient-centered, high-quality academic medicine in a compassionate and equitable manner. As the state's leading academic health system, we advance innovative strategies in clinical care, education, and research to address both clinical and social determinants of health. Our mission is to create and sustain healthier communities, one person and one community at a time, by improving local resident health and creating educational and career opportunities.
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our Hemophilia Center at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center. In this specialized role, you will provide tailored rehabilitation services to patients with hemophilia, addressing the unique challenges of this chronic condition. Your work will focus on improving joint mobility, strength, and function while managing hemophilia-related complications such as joint damage and muscle weakness.
You will serve as a vital link between physical therapy and medical management, working closely with hematologists and a multidisciplinary team—including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and dietitians—to ensure holistic patient care. A key part of your day involves developing safe rehabilitation programs following bleeding episodes or surgeries, educating patients and families on self-management techniques, and advocating for their access to necessary resources. This position is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our patients through evidence-based therapeutic techniques and a strong commitment to their long-term well-being.
Candidates selected for this position will be required to successfully complete all orientation programs. Please note that this role is scheduled for Thursdays only during the day shift on a per diem basis.
