About the Role
The Physical Therapist serves as a vital member of the interdisciplinary care team, dedicated to helping patients achieve their maximum performance and level of functioning. Guided by the New York State Physical Therapy Practice Act and the Guide to Physical Therapy Practice, this role focuses on examination, evaluation, diagnosis, and the delivery of interventions that enable patients to live within the limits of their capabilities.
In this position, you will collaborate closely with a variety of professionals to provide prevention and wellness services, including screening and health promotion. A key aspect of the role involves coordinating, delegating, and supervising support staff, such as Physical Therapist Assistants, students, and rehab aides, to ensure comprehensive patient care. You will work in an environment that prioritizes safety, aiming to reduce medical errors while treating patients and their families with respect and dignity.
