As a Phlebotomist II, you will serve as a vital link between patients and the laboratory, drawing quality blood samples and preparing specimens for testing with precision and care. This float position is designed for a professional who thrives in dynamic environments, requiring frequent travel between various patient service centers and in-office sites within the Miami region.
You will be responsible for performing both forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties. Your role goes beyond technical skill; you will create an atmosphere of trust and confidence by explaining procedures to patients in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner. Whether working with pediatric or geriatric populations, you will demonstrate leadership behaviors, focusing on process excellence while maintaining strict sensitivity to patient confidentiality and data accuracy.
Work Environment & Expectations
This is a 3-month contract role (with possible extension) based in Miami, FL. The position operates Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with rotating Saturday shifts. As a float phlebotomist, you must be flexible and adaptable, ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area. Reliable personal transportation is mandatory; public transportation, Uber, or rideshare services are not acceptable for this role. You must be punctual and possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record to be eligible for mileage reimbursement.
