The HSC Outpatient Pharmacy operates within the University of Toledo Health Science Campus Medical Center, a hub dedicated to promoting the highest levels of health and well-being. As a Pharmacy Intern, you will work under the direct supervision of a pharmacist to support the dispensing, distribution, and third-party insurance billing of drugs. Your day-to-day responsibilities include ensuring the proper storage, packaging, labeling, and record-keeping associated with medications. This role is designed to provide mentorship, guiding you as you learn the fundamentals to eventually become an outpatient clinical pharmacist. Success in this position requires effective communication skills, particularly when interacting with the public and departmental colleagues, as well as a commitment to participating in performance improvement activities.
